Aston University Application Portal How To Apply As many of you may already be aware, the University and College Union (UCU), the Trade Union to which many University staff belong, is currently taking industrial action nationally across many universities.

Whilst many of Aston’s programmes will be unaffected by UCU strike action, there are likely to be some areas where staff choose to take industrial action.
Making an application can be split into the following steps:
- Choose your course
- Check the entry requirements
- Complete the online form. This includes: (i) uploading any relevant documentation, (ii) submitting a research proposal (research programmes only), (iii) completing your personal details
- We’ll consider your application and contact you if we require any additional information/documents
- A decision will be communicated to you via email

Our online application form is a quick and easy way to apply for all of our non-UCAS courses, which include:
- Research postgraduate programmes in all Schools
- Taught postgraduate programmes in all Schools
- MBA programmes
- Foundation Degrees
- International Foundation programmes
- Exchange programmes
Please note: All undergraduate full-time applications, including international, must be submitted via UCAS.

Exams and Assessments
We recognise that there may still be Covid infection in the population at large, and that a number of students may be affected during the examination period. If you are not fit to take any of your assessments because of COVID or any other valid reason (i.e., you were unable to prepare for, or unable to take any of your assessments) you should submit an Exceptional Circumstances (EC) claim in the usual way.
Please be assured that EC claims will be considered by Boards of Examiners when making decisions on progression or award. Where an assessment has been missed owing to COVID (or any other valid reason) the Board will defer that attempt and provide future assessment opportunities so that students are able to demonstrate their full potential.
