The date that appears on a status of R350 grant is not a payment date
Beneficiaries of the R350 SRD grant are hereby notified by the South African Social Security Agency in Mpumalanga that the date displayed on the status of the grant is not the date on which the grant was paid out but rather the date on which the grant was captured in the system. Once the grant has been recorded in the system, the recipient can receive the SMS at any time.

There will be no payment on this date. Before going to withdraw the grant at businesses or banks, recipients must wait for the payment to arrive by SMS. Many complaints have been received, so this warning and awareness is made to help recipients avoid wasting money and time on unproductive trips.
