The New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) is headed by a Board, which is appointed by the Minister of Education. The Minister approves all policy matters relating to education in New Zealand. NZQA is led by its Strategic Leadership Team, which comprises the Chief Executive, five Deputy Chief Executives and the Chief Adviser Pasifika.

ALL NCEA (levels 1–3) and New Zealand Scholarship examination sessions are three hours. All exam sessions start at either 9.30 am or 2.00 pm.
