FULLY FUNDED SHORT COURSE SCHOLARSHIPS TENABLE IN THE KINGDOM OF THE NETHERLANDS FOR 2022/2023

The General public is hereby informed that the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands has an open round of fully funded short course scholarships for Tanzanian professionals in the fields of Energy (renewable energy), Agriculture (food and nutrition security), Media (journalism) and Security and rule of law.

2.0 Application requirements

The scholarship applicant must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  1. Be a citizen of Tanzania and residing in Tanzania;
  2. Be working for one of the following types of national and/or local organizations: ministries, secondary or higher vocational or academic education institutions, universities, private sector, commissions or NGOs;
  3. Be a professional who, in light of his/her (1) role, (2) multiple years of relevant work experience and (3) networks within a theme relevant to local development, is in a position or through his/her employer could be put in a position to apply what he/she has learned in practice;
  4. Holds a valid identity document;
  5. Be admitted to the course or programme for which he/she wishes an OKP scholarship;
  6. Must provide a government statement with the scholarship application, if this is required by the local government (see the document ‘government statement requirement’ on (www.studyinholland.nl/okp);
  7. The course/programme for which the scholarship applicant is applying for a scholarship is registered at www.studyfinder.nl, full time, offered in English, French or Spanish and a Master’s degree programme or short course; and
  8. Be proficient in English and or in French.

3.0. List of documents to be submitted

  1. Certified true copies of relevant certificates, transcripts;
  2. Certified copy of passport bio-data page;
  3. Employer statement;
  4. Government statement (for civil servants);
  5. Motivation letter; and
  6. Certificate of English or French languages proficiency.

NB: There is no top-up loan or grant from the Government of Tanzania for the candidates who will be offered scholarships other than the one offered by the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

4.0 Application process and submission

Follow these steps to apply:

  1. First find a course that is eligible for the scholarship. You can find the eligible courses in study programme database www.studyfinder.nl;
  2. Contact the Dutch higher education institution that is offering the course for information on:
    1. the course content;
    2. the scholarship application deadline (deadlines can differ per Dutch institution);
    3. the scholarship application and selection procedures;
    4. the online application form and the required application documents.
  3. Prepare your application and the supporting documents; and
  4. Submit your online application via the Dutch institution offering the course.

5.0 Deadlines of application rounds

You can only apply for a scholarship during an open application round.

The following rounds are expected for 2022:

Round 3 – for short courses

  1. Accepting applications between 31 August – 11 October 16.00 CET; and
  2. Courses starts from 20th February, 2023 onward and must be completed before 31st August, 2023.
