Dodoma. Deputy Minister of PMO-TAMISEMI, David Silinde said the IDs of small entrepreneurs have undergone a number of improvements, including the placement of photographs and the name of the person. Silinde made the remarks on Friday, June 18, 2021 in parliament in Dodoma while answering a key question from the Member of Parliament for Special Seats, Grace Tendega.
In his question the MP said the entrepreneurship IDs have become a challenge especially for traders who have small capital and want to know the Government’s strategy to improve or cancel such IDs. Responding to the question, Silinde acknowledged the challenges faced in issuing IDs to entrepreneurs and small service providers.
“Tamisemi has evaluated the whole exercise of allocating, registering and using the IDs of entrepreneurs and small service providers in regions and councils to identify existing challenges and make improvements,” he said. He said since 2021 the IDs have undergone a number of improvements, including the placement of a photo and the name of a young entrepreneur who has been awarded an ID.
