OVERVIEW. |
The HR Manager is responsible for all employee safety and welfare along with compliance issues. |
JOB DESCRIPTION. |
- Conducting new employee inductions (orientation) and regular training of the company
- Profiling applicants for interviews and assisting in the interviewing process, doing interviews for drivers, workshop staff, and all line staff.
- Develop training materials and performance management programs to help ensure employees understand their job responsibilities
- Processing advances, loans, warning letters, leaves, termination dues, and staff contracts.
- Attending disciplinary meetings and ensuring required paperwork is up to date.
- Processing employee contracts and maintaining Employee files both physical and digital
- Prepare payroll information by collecting time and attendance records.
- Maintains employee information by entering and updating employment and statuschange data.
- Compile HR monthly reports and send to the legal manager and cc to Directors.
- To assist in managing company events such as group team building, charity events, etc
- Assist in Conducting performance appraisals for line staff.
- Maintain records for the Toolbox Meetings, which are carried out by the workshop supervisor, the head driver, and the driver for the in-house training of the drivers.
- Supervising runners and line staff.
- Overseeing facilities services and maintenance activities
- Monitoring office supplies and the purchasing of new materials. (Stationeries, kitchen)
- Work with operations in renewals of all company permits and certifications.
- Ensure compliance with HSS & other regulatory compliances.
- To prepare & filling out statutory returns of NHIF, PAYE, SDL, NSSF, etc. under review of FC
- To be in charge of maintenance of both premises including, maintenance, cleanliness, security
- To check the compliance of security companies of the yard.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS. |
· Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Public Administration, or other related fields.
· Knowledge of Labor laws and employment equity regulations is an added advantage.
· Must have least 3 years of working experience in a banking, accounting or any other related field.
· Effective HR administration and people management skills
· Excellent written and spoken communication skills
· Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
· Computer literate with MS Office capabilities
· Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
